It appears that the dividend will have to be cut as it is not sustainable. If the yield curve continues and QE3 happens, I would imagine that dividends may need to not only be cut but possibly suspended. Thoughts? Just how bad is the yield compression going to get? 10 year treasury under 1%?
I think you are making the classic mistake with REITs, and that is this: you are looking at earnings and not looking at free cashflow.
Earnings per share is almost irrelevant with a REIT. The FCF number is much more relevant to the sustainability of a dividend.
I cant tell you what to do, if I diid I would be a millinaire.
Do what ever you are confortable with, but keep it to the low side and maybee reenter.
Unless you are DITM, laugh all the way to the bank.
Seems the trend this quarter has been for companies to miss on the top end or revenues? Just as good an excuse as anything to sell the stock? If so then be ready to sell some puts if your into that?
