You previously talked about investing in MSFT and I was curious if during yesterday's crash you've decided to enter a position. I've been looking closely at them (as well as INTC) for a mid term hold position (sell after the Christmas rush). The reviews I've read on MSFT is that they hope to (although a competitive market.......INTC is interested in using their processors in this as well) enter into the tablet world. They feel that there is huge growth in the area and I've read that windows 8 is more geared towards the touchscreen approach. The reviews I've read say there is a big leap in design from this OS to that of Windows 7 / Vista (which are basically the same with a few kinks worked out) so the public may not like the drastic changes. Anyways, back to my question; What are your thoughts on the company as a whole moving forward with the soon to be release of windows 8?
No, I'm still looking for a buy signal. There is nothing telling me that the company is going to go higher. Yesterday was one of Microsoft's least down days. The company is down about 8% in the past couple of weeks.
