When Bernanke leaves/quits/not re-elected 04/2013 mREIT like AGNC direction is higher/lower/flat?
Bernanke elected?? when was that??
Bernanke is one member of a committee. He reports their decisions, he does not dictate them.
If Ben leaves, QE probably ends and long rates go up some. I think they have to keep short rates low for the economy, and we can't afford to pay higher rates on the debt. So, the spread increases.
Uncle Ben isn't going anywhere, same with QE. The U.S. can't afford to pay high yields on long term debt too.
