"Expenses rise to meet income." I am married , 2 kids , 1 in state university, 1 in high school.
4 smart phones, 4 cars, cable TV , I go out to eat once a month(maybe). live in a 3000sq ft home.
My son and I both brown bag our lunch.
I'm sure the dude in the White House thinks like I do that we should bring back the $1M bracket, but the screeching that would result from the likes of the Kochs is just more hassle than he wants to bear.
And onion, there's a whole lot of people closer to the center of your town who know that anyone who lives on your end of town is loaded. You may have to work for a living, but a $250k/year income translates to several $million invested at nominal low-risk interest rates..
Ah the simple life. If only we could all go back to living on the farm.
We would only have to worry about it being too hot too cold, not enough bees, too many bugs, too much rain, not enough rain, prices too low, seeds too high, hail beat down the crops, theives steeling anything not tied down.
"Papa get that hay-seed out of your mouth and feed them-thar pigs. Then look after Buster, I think he just went down the well again. Don't you hear him a squeelin?"
" Mama, I thought it was just the pigs?"
As Papa is getting out of his rocker he's starting to dream again about having a big 3000 sqft house in the burbs with nothing at all to worry about.
It's amazing the difference in view points in references to amounts of income. The "Baxxxxxs who set the policies, rates and do all the talking should try to live on minimal income, SSI for example. What is this sxxx $250,000. I wish I could have had that kind of income before I retired!!!!
