they continue to sink because market price only has a slight relationship to any fundamental measure of the company. market price measures popularity which waxes and wanes based on a number of things.
fundamental things like a dividend are included in those things. so are the shares next door and down the street. fer instance, AAPL is taking it in the neck. perhaps a buying opportunity. somebody is buying those shares and the sellers do not really care about REIT shares. another fer instance. since the governement can't seem to get their thumbs out, cash starts to look better. at least for a couple of weeks.
