I bought initially at 24.95, then doubled down at 23.45 to give me an average cost basis of 24.23 for its dividend run last quarter.....Following the dividend (I held through hoping for some slight rebound to decrease my losses) it lowered my average cost to 23.81. However then (as expected according to its cyclical behavior) the stock plummeted but instead of just a little to 52 week lows. This put me at about a %25 loss. As of late the stock has been sky rocketing (ever since fiscal cliff resolution) and I'm only a little away from BE.
Yeah there is really nothing of value in this post but I'm very relieved to have gain back a majority of my losses here. I know a lot of people got burned by CQP last quarter so getting some back is a good feeling.
Personally, I think there is something of value in hearing how someone handled a situation. Also, to help keep some perspective on the fact that a single click of the mouse can produce thousands of dollars of loses ... or gains.
I closed out my position today and recorded a very small profit (less than a percent)....I think I could have gone further ahead if I held it longer (ie after they declared and closer to ex) but my gut tells me the market is due for a downturn and I'm tickled to get out with a slight gain after near %25 down on the position
