For those interested in playing the MLP sector dividend run, I like MWE here.
It has a history of raising the dividend. Div. will be declared later this month and go ex in early Feb.
Normally it has a nice run up from about the mid-month it announces. Last quarter they filed a shelf registration in mid-October and that, along with a weak MLP sector, shot down the run.
This quarter they sold 1.0 billion in notes so that is out of the way.
It is getting slapped a bit today (down .9%) as I write this in an otherwise solid day for the sector.
Thanks for the head's up on MWE.
Check out another MLP: NMM, +3% today.
NMM's .4425 div. will be decl. around 01/18,
Maybe the real run has yet to begin.
Hopefully you got in first thing on January 3rd as NMM is up 10%+ this year. :-)
That puts it well ahead of the sector so I put it on my list to watch if it pulls back a bit here.
