Many of you on this Board are into large Dividend Stocks etc, etc, what are you're thoughts on the Conerstone Funds, they have been paying huge dividends for five years now so they're not an overnight flash in the pan. So when your not thinking of arming yourselves or th ugly side of politics what are you're thought on these??????????????
Read the WSJ article on the Cornerstone Funds, entitled "High Rates: Are You Delirious?"
Have any of you guys been following TICC or any of the BDCs? I would be interested to hear your opinions. I got in a couple years ago because of a lot of insider buying on the open market. It has been pretty good to me so far
Sentiment: Strong Buy
89% of CFP is in other CEFs. The effective expense ratio is around 2.5%. During 08-09, 93% of the distribution was return of capital. Recently they have been making rights offerings and using that money received to support their distributions. A number of the CEFs it holds can be bought at a discount to NAV.
macbride my opinion is worth what you are paring for it. Closend funds can be a trap i would not consider one above NAV. The only closed end fund i have invested in is FFC a Preferred stock closed end fund. I would buy back in when the PPS gets down or below NAV.
Hey Mac,
How about providing some ticker symbols.
I'm always interested in researching different companies.
