scottrade for sure for a broker - most broker big firms will clean your clock in fees !
myself - I was with A G Edwards - Merrill Lynch - - Ed Jones - for years - they are the winners.
avoid them early on !
Scott trade is falling behind the other discount brokers in terms of features and capabilities.
Etrade might still be being having front running issues. TdAmeritrade seems to be falling behind.
Start with Schwab or Fidelity, but spread it around to each as you grow your pile, because each has some strength where the others dont.
Avoid the smaller startups because they would tend to have weaker security.
Try interactive broker. They are very cheap for trading.
I have schwab and e*trade as well.
Schwab I dislike a lot. I think their interface is a pile of #$%$.
