    Boeing beats

They delivered 14 more 737s this quarter than initially planned for a total of 105 planes.

Also this quarter they delivered 21 777s, 6 767s, 10 747s, and 23 787s for a total of 165 planes which is a 35% increase. All told this was $14.2 billion in commercial airplane revenues. Defense revenues fell 2% to $8.3 billion. Boeing has $10.3 billion in cash and $3.2 billion of short term investments.

Yes the 787 battery is bad news but with this much other stuff going on it is clear that BA will survive this glitch. They also have the advantage that buyers will still accept delivery of 787s with a promise of a fix because they don't want the plane to go to someone else. The wait time to get a 787 is so long that no one wants to go to the back of the line. They will take delivery I am sure.
