    NTI: Post-Declaration

Now that the carnage is over and the dust has cleared,
    Did anyone add under 28?
I was busy at open today, but might've thought about 27.50, if I'd seen it(18%)

    1.24 isn't bad and at 29 is still over a 17% yield.
While the declaration might have disappointed some spoiled traders,
the news of a 17-18% yield declaration may attract a slew of new buyers.

So, I missed yesterday's sale and today's buy.
    I guess I'll hold. :)

    What do you all think?

    Good luck,

    • This is a great yield. I bought at a lower price so I am still in the green. This paired with AGNC gives a good diversification benefit. NTI actually has a lower risk grade- at least that is what Etrade says on their website. The 2 in equal amounts alone give a 54 risk grade which is like half of what most stocks are. This is a new company so there may be some risk that Etrade doesnt know about. All of the ratings companies seem to give NTI top ratings. Dont put your whole portfolio into NTI and have some precious metals to insure your stock. I give NTI a buy hold--buy some if you dont have any and hold what you have-- and AGNC about the same. AGNC has good management and a good track record but they can be affected by the economy and interest rates.

      Sentiment: Hold

    • I bought shares at 24.50 spo day. Will continue to hold for distributions;may add calls today as it should run up some to dividend day.

    • i think cvrr is getting killed with you guys which is a crazy crazy thing

    • Hi Foxy,

That yield number is likely not correct going forward as the company has its shut down coming when production will be limited. The next dividend as discussed will most likely be much less than the current one...don't want to rain on the great parade on this momentum stock...just saying your yield number looking back is correct...going forward is likely a different matter.

      Good Luck,

FOXY, I think your analysis is correct. I appreciate your commentary (( not just because I agree with you today )) !

    • I decided to sell NTI just now at 28.16.
I mishandled it from the start,
      and still will take 12%.
NTI's getting to volitile for my taste(and nerves) and brings to mind my last summer's ill-fated MCP investment.
With MCP, I was up 25%.
Its pps sunk and I sunk in more...then more.
      I lost a bundle.
About 1/3 of my trading account

NTI looks to be a growing company.
It currently pays a great dividend and yield(maybe).
I'll watch for possible future investment with NTI.

      Good luck all,
I hope NTI does well for you,
      Go AGNC,

    • NTI up 32 cents in AH trading, hope it holds,I bought calls on a low bid that hit . I'm thinking we may see a higher number when CVRR reports distribution because it is the 1st quarter after IPO and may include leftover income from it.That's why NTI had a higher distribution last quarter;return of excess IPO cash;now it's CVRR's turn to shine;just seems logical to me.Yes?

    • I went ahead and sold for a 1.20 a share profit in AH the day they declared....I also thought to myself that CVRR would see negative pressure because of this and sold them as well (5.50 a share profit)......This morning I bought back in CVRR at 29.90 but thought NTI would continue to go down the rest of the week so I stayed away. Oh well can't win them all.

    • wow back up

    • i believe cvrr is absolutely the best buy here

      • Agree,at least for this quarter, because as you mentioned, of the 90 million oversold units which I hope reflects in their distribution price, also NTI's planned refinery shutdown.I''ve got my sell orders in on my options (NTI and CVRR)when they hit the highs they reached last week because we've see how volatile they are;one day you've got a double and the next you're back to break even.
