This Wednesday, the 27th, will be 9 trading days after FSC's EX...the best historical low entry for the run to EX-1. Enter on the close and exit on the close has been the best reward historically. Since August 9th, 2010 to Feb 12th, 2013(30 months), the avg monthly(8/10 started monthly) return is 32.23/month, following these simple trading rules.
Largest draw-down, .56. Largest gain 1.39. Number of wins 25. Number of losses 5. Total profit, $9.67. Buy and hold CA, 0.32. Dividends 3.05, for $3.37 total profit. The 9 day trade advantage, 9.67/3.37 = 287%.
Good luck as we try it out on sequester.
Update on ARR and FSC. Out on both today at a 10 cent gain on ARR and 30 cents on FSC, on 10,000 shares each for $4,000. MAIN exit is next week(Monday) and it is climbing the wall...;-) PSEC entry is Wednesday if GLAD obeyed. ARR entry is this Friday. CFP entry on the 19th( GLAD). Don't forget all of these require the 3% orders each night after the close for additional purchases.
Will keep the totals posted. Good Luck to all and trade without fear....;-)
Yup. I intend to play this one every month reinvesting the gains from each move. Also using 1/3 margin so every 1000 shares has 333 on margin.
Shorted on xd at 10.87 covered at .68 and at .44 then on xd+1 it hit higher than the high dbx. I thought, man this is going the wrong way, but held out for a drop. I am glad the first month was a winner, could get discouraging if the first month was a loss.
Tomorrow I sell my calls on United Therapeutics and get back into FSC in layers.
Some expect a secondary which can happen anytime in the cycle with the monthly payers.
Price at today's close looks tasty.
It is not the most dramatic trade, but it is fun.
Hi Doc -
So, do you ever cheat on your systems? What I mean is it looks like late yesterday could be the low for FSC, but you say you're not buying till tomorrow, right? Even this morning, looks like it might try to start going up, but will you still wait till tomorrow, just to be true to the system?
I'm not trying to trick you or anything unseemly, just curious.
PS...sure don't like these little typing boxes!
I'm following, and hoping the sequester doesn't put a kink in the curve.
As a point of interest (not prediction), the curve for the present period , so far, very closely resembles the curve of May 2012 period which went on to produce a win of 0.35.
