a 15% is a little scary....
The great investment theologian Bill Gross said not to expect as much from Wall Street in the foreseeable future. MREIT will have the best return available . I expect my Preferred Securities to be one of the few investments that will hold distribution rate.
The 18% that NTI pays is even scarier but the first distribution of $1.26 showed up in my Scottrade account yesterday.I can take that to the bank. These guys at AGNC know how to print money and will continue to do so until the fed raises rates.
The difference is that NTI says its dividend will be highly variable, depending on factors like the crack spread. AGNC's dividend is both high and highly stable

REITs really do pay high dividends and should continue to do so until the Fed raises short-term rates.
We will know in a few weeks.
Seems to me a bit strange that they would have an SPO before the ex date, Usually they do it just after.
In any case, the sale is almost over, so things should return to normal in a few day.
devalue the shares and decrease the dividend! lol
Net interest margins (core income) plus drop income is 1.18 as of q4. Doesn't cover 1.25 completely but over $2 of undistributed income still available to tap into. So yes 1.25 is going to be q1 dividend.
