I was just able to pick up more Sept 30s for $1.90 while AGNC was trading @$31.80, that's $0.10 from parity. I notice all the 30s are trading close to parity. Almost too good, Am I missing something, I cant find any news.
Bowhunter, I'm also a fan of those. Bought more Sep 30's within the past hour, paid $1.94.
That does it for me, I'm up to nearly 500 (misc expiration) $30 Call contracts. Time to take a seat on the couch and break out the popcorn... Let's see how AGNC does between now & ex-div.
Good luck everyone!
Thanks guys for posting your trades here & in the "good guys" thread that's a day old now. Nice to see familiar faces from prior years (before so many of us took an AGNC breather post-September). My Thurs/Fri Call purchases:
June $30 @ $1.92
Sep $30 @ $1.97
Jan $30 @ $1.95
I'm into ~400 contracts at this point. Unfortunately I started accumulating before the SPO so the average b/e for my whole position is nearly $32.15. Not the end of the world. For now I have conviction that things will work out well, absent any substantial market pullback pre-ex that drags AGNC down with it.
I looked at other strikes and a variety of expirations but kept coming back to the $30's as having the best bang per buck for my particular objectives.
I may accumulate a little more if AGNC gives opportunities in the coming week, TBD.
Good luck longs!
You might keep an eye on the Jan 2015 strike 30's, too. I've been able to get some of those under $2 and it looks like more traded today below that mark.
Mar 31's for .79
April 31's for .87
Jun 31's for 1.14
Sept 30's for 1.98
Bid on Sept 31's but never got filled.
Good play. I bought the 30's yesterday, but after watching Rim get his 400 Apr31's for .85 I was buying the same up to 1.05 today. Money management. You can leverage almost the same cost to get twice as much at almost the same BE. A tip of the hat to Rim as I follow, albeit at a higher cost than .85, you dog...;-)
Best to all Longs,
Btw, I like the larger dialogue box
