I have read that Yahoo to shut down message boards next month to invest resources into more profitable areas. I wonder why they wanted to screw them up before shutting them down. I will miss AGNC and the way HRB used to be before improvement.
It doesn't sound like anything will change for us. The say they are shutting down the Message board website, but that Yahoo finance boards will remain active. Doesn't that mean no change for us?
Yahoo won't let me post a solution I will start for all interested. Wow, their censors are strict and extremely jealous of their board...funny..if they plan on closing shop..contact me docreits G#m#a$i#l for details. I am slow at answering so be patient. I also had a schedule for entry and exits this next two weeks on the 5 stocks I have been touting. Yahoo...sheesh...;-)
I like investorvillage. It has a built in spell checker for one. They have a version of it that cost money but I have always logged on using the free version. The quality of post there are usually better than yahoo in most cases and there are fewer flaming entities.
It seems to me like yahoo has put a lot of effort into these boards just to shut them down. It seems to me that they could run them on a shoe string budget if they simply delete post after a week and thus their memory storage requirements would be reduced. And they could stop making changes to the format which would save man hours as well. Why not just let it free run? Hopefully they will keep the financial reporting web pages.
investor village are idiots, they are missing out on this gold mine opportunity.
They are three steps away from the lottery.
get some funds and do a massive pub campaign, two bring down price, three make signing up easy...
you would think that is easy for college graduates.but noooooo
yahoo even f dumber, ceo needs an all inclusive holyday with me, let her see the light..
Yahoo! Message Boards website: On April 1, the site will shut down but message boards on individual properties (like Yahoo Finance and Yahoo Fantasy Sports) will remain active. Yahoo will encourage its users to use Yahoo Answers instead and to discuss issues in the comments section on Yahoo News.
Yahoo may improve it to the point we cant find it. Woe !! Just had a thought, how will be be able to insult each other without this board ? Even Though you are opinionated, irritable, insufferable on occasion you are mybest frieldintheworld.
