I still like this stock to the tune of 20,000 shares. Your fav, Cramer, said this about shippers:
Also, Cramer will be watching the shippers. "We get results from Diana Shipping (DSX)," said Cramer. "Now, we've hated these dry bulk carriers forever, but you know what? The Baltic Dry Freight index, which measures the day rates for dry bulk, has, I believe, put in a bottom, and while Diana isn't necessarily cheap and has already run up 23% for the year, I bet we'll like what we hear when it reports."
I think NMM is a superior investment compared to DSX, but I'm already up a few percent on it too ... not to mention a great divy. Shippers are a high operating leverage business .... lots of fixed assets .... so when revenues go higher, the money falls to the bottom line.
Ray858945 Best of luck with your Greek shipping line. But please consider these to balance your portfolio . SAN , a Spanish telephone company and BOC, Bank of Cyprus . These have great upside potential.
I'm waiting to cash in on some AGNC and MTGE this week and will then look to join you guys for NMM's dividend run this quarter to possibly 15+.
The run looks to have started a tad early, so I hope I can get in under 14.
We'll see. :)
Nice ... better than me .... 13.35% yield for you. The PPS is wavering a little with all the commotion re Cypress, but it is irrelevant to NMM so just wait through it. At least, that's my plan.
