Obama should declare him an enemy combatant and then take him out with a drone. He can do this after he passes his pressure cooker control legislation. We simply cannot have people buying pressure cookers without a back ground check.
I was reading the other day that anyone who has ever taken an anti depressant might not pass a back ground check. That means 10% of the US population fails on that alone. So if someone’s son gets killed in a car accident and the doctor suggest that he take an anti depressant for a few months during his period of grief he better think twice if he ever wants to own a gun in the future. As the assumption seems to be that anyone who has ever used any of these drugs must be crazy.
Reverse logic: If a spider can walk up a wall then anything that can walk up a wall must be a spider. Only a simpleton thinks like this. But then, that is what we seem to have in congress.
The 2nd Amendment, at the time it was written, only applied to about 30% of the population anyway.
A gun is a killing machine. Not a toy, and not a security blanket. Limiting its use only to those who are thoroughly competent ("well-regulated", in the 18th-century sense) to use it is the point of the first half of the sentence.
The NRA has, deliberately, recast the right to keep and bear arms as universal and absolute, when it never was. In so doing they attempt to usurp the Constitution, for the sake of making a buck, and the results are a diminution of the security of the nation, not an improvement.
