I did. Had a limit order in at 28.50 and it was executed at 28.47. That increases my stake by 50% and brings my cost down to 30.14. Not sweating at all. Have done this with many stocks. Was down on KOG a LOT. C/B is 8.12. Now on the plus side and slowly rising.
But I do wish I had bought more in the 28.20 range but it popped up too quick.
There's a reason for that. If he holds them for a year they are taxed as capital Gains and not ordinary income. Sort of 'lower taxes in lieu of salary.' Don't blame him.
I do about 90% of our trading in a self directed IRA. No tax problem. It took a while to build it up but it's a nice 6 figures now. And no taxes yet. The taxable investment account is in MLP's, mostly EPD and a few growth + dividend 'gambling' stocks. mREITs and REITs and few good ones like CLX, JNJ, SCG, SO PFE.
I will put another limit order in later today for more AGNC. When I decide on a price.
