AGNC sold 50 mil shares at $31.60 in Feb.. 7 months later, they buyback 11.9 mil at $22.16.
We pocketed a cool 112 million dollars with that.
Thats going to show up somewhere as a positive.
perhaps as positive cash balance.
only thing that might be negative is, if they invested that money in feb, and lost money on it , then sold those losing postions, then maybe its a break even , or even a loss.
anyway, agnc has told us that they will buback shares whenever the share price is below book.
and that will help reduce shares, improve earnings per share, increase dividends per share, plus help put a floor on the stock price from going lower on off days.
so perhaps buying back is better than paying more in divs.
