    What's up?

kc, not sure what it is but a) i would never have believed a 50 cent move could seem great and b) it encourages me that when the guidelines come (t-9 and counting) we might actually get something better than 50cents (or should i say fitty cents although he lost bad on first week sales of their 3rd cds to kanye west so maybe it's a bad omen)

no matter what happens, and no matter what they say, at least they will be out, for better or worse...been a long time comin' (not the new rap cds, the guidelines)

i guess fitty or so is worth almost 2 for the old dige so maybe that's the tingling on the back of the neck

    have a good weekend

    • I'm not sure I've ever heard a 50c song, but I bet he's worth more than Chuck and Evan<gg>

I kinda miss the roller coaster, too. I have a feeling that even with strongly worded guidelines we may only see about a 10% move. And it will probably take the market a few days to even notice.

Just another buying opportunity, I guess..

Another save today.. Older patient (~65) with two consecutive +HPV/-cyto results.. Ultimately had severe dysplasia on LEEP. Could've been another statistic.

      Have a great weekend!

      • Talked with a lady I had walked with at the ACS walk for life event. Her sister went every year for annual paps to the local yokels and then one year was sent to a specialist and was found to have invasive cervical carcinoma. Never had a DWP. Gee, think she could have had an hpv infection....
        Good catch KC!!

Talked with a broker at Wachovia re Friday's trading. He went trade by trade and quoted a few low volume trades 100-500 shares at over 20.

Improved rate of high-grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia detection in human papillomavirus DNA hybrid capture testing.Proca DM, Williams JD, Rofagha S, Tranovich VL, Keyhani-Rofagha S.
Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus 43210, USA.

BACKGROUND: Numerous studies have established a link between human papillomavirus (HPV), squamous intraepithelial lesions (SIL) and carcinoma of the cervix. Testing for HPV DNA in addition to cytology in screening programs for cervical cancer has been suggested to increase detection rates. STUDY DESIGN: HPV DNA testing (performed by hybridization antibody capture assay I or II), cytology and biopsy (performed within 1 month of each other) were retrospectively reviewed for a series of 155 women. The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV) and negative predictive value (NPV) of HPV testing vs. cytology were calculated using biopsy as the gold standard. These values were also calculated in a subgroup of 37 individuals older than 35 years. RESULTS: The sensitivity, specificity, PPV and NPV of DNA hybrid capture HPV testing for detecting high-grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) were 86%, 44%, 26% and 93%, respectively. The respective values for cytology detection of high-grade CIN were 17%, 97%, 56% and 82%. CONCLUSION: HPV testing was significantly more sensitive for detecting high-grade CIN than cytology (86% vs. 17%). Our data support immediate colposcopy and biopsy, rather than follow-up Papanicolaou testing, if the test for HPV DNA is positive for an intermediate- to high-risk type.

      • i'd be very happy with 10% given that the impact is less spread over 200mm shares ... any bump at all gets it to a 52 week high (although that high print friday seems to stand ... still think it was bad print but i guess it is what it is)

really don't know what's gonna happen if we get what we want...seems to be under the radar though esp since analysts aren't circling
