point taken <gg>
but talk about stealth! not a single headline on the guidelines from a medical org anywhere that i've seen
don't they like to publicize those things? this is about as wierd as i've ever seen
coup de grace would be acog caving with new primary guidelines...would certainly dovetail with the asccp
donmar, they will likely keep many of the sales staff, all the manufacturiing, quality control staff etc...i can think of a few at the mgmt level they could can though <gg>
they forecast savings of 35-50mm next year
analysts are recognizing the need for a higher multiple but so far they aren't recognizing that rev/eps estimates are probably low for 2008 and way low for 2009
sucker needs to take a breather though, doesn't it?
Nice brokerage upgrade with a $24 target. Like to see the $24 and then a buy-out with say a 50% premium.
Actually getting a little scary, as I at first thought we should see these levels years ago and then felt as if we never would see this.
Remember the long ago debate as to if we would like a buy-out at $50?
Need 'daily' to come around again as he seems to show up just before a nice run.
With his record as bottom indicator daily should have been able to do very well but he is always on the wrong side -oops!
Personally I can not be happier and for the first time in years feel quite relaxed. Shure there will be corrections and down-swings but we are in very solid company where management and sharehoders are on the same side.
With the additional move up in the last few days after the contest I think the general theory behind my low-ball guess has been disproved. The QGEN+DIGE combo has demonstrated it is capable of much stronger upward moves than QGEN ever was standalone.
glad we agree! and i bet you wish i'd just drop that particular subject and never bring it up again, which i ought to do (drop it) since there ain't no proof one way or the other and it's just inflammatory <gg>
meanwhile, back at the supertanker/icebreaker qgen which moves about 1mm every hour or so but relentlessly forward
has to go down one of these days, doesn't it?
well from 10 trading days pre-guidelines to now, 8 trading days post-guidelines it's up 4.11 or almost 15 digene equivalents ... probably would have been happy with 15 dige points even if it wasn't from the guidelines!
who knows...gonna take some profits on my october calls though...which means we'll probably keep going up!
If CPHD has a 2012 target of $110 / share and today they are cash strapped and likely to do another dilution soon, I will give QGEN a 2012 target of >$110 / share at a minimum...IMHO
