Pesse (Lake, I promised mom I wouldn't hit you anymore if you just come home.) Mist

    • (Pesse, for now, it appears you were accurate about LGND.)

I have been accurate about Ligand every week (almost) for the past 5 years. This is just one more trade among 50+ or so.

(Does that make you as smart as you claim?)

The proof is in the pudding buddy. Eat up.

      (If only LGND was down...)

The run up into ASCO was totally predictable and the sell-on-the-news is an annual stalwart. However, I have gone on record with my reasoning for Ligands expected continued weakness and I suspect that Ligand will not only have a bad quarter coming up but will literally be slaughtered.

I'll probably cover near $17 unless the Nasdaq just plain collapses (a 50:50 proposition with the close on the 50 dma today). If Ligand breaks its 200dma--forget it, you'll be just liable to get it under $13.

But $17 is as sure a thing as you can get...

(The <STXN> chart sure looks ugly, and it appears profits are far off..)

Yes, the chart looks ugly. No, proftability is coming this year.

STXN is kinda weird. Depending on how you look at it it is a big fish in a little pond or a little fish in a big pond. STXN is also in a very technically challenging industry to understand. I am buying additional shares in 1000 round lots once a week to effectively dollar cost average my position. My total holdings will not exceed 40,000 shares total and I probably won't get that far before it breaks out.

I could sit here and blah, blah, blah myself blue in the face trying to convince you what a genius I am for buying STXN at these levels. However, STXN IS a highly speculative bet. It is a penny stock for a reason. It could succomb to fraud, scurvy or the moon may never reach the seventh house and Jupiter could not align with mars. Then peace won't guide the planets and love won't steer the stars.....

Sorry, got a bit off track there.

      Pesse (shrugs) Mist

    • Pesse, for now, it appears you were accurate about LGND. Does that make you as smart as you claim? I don't think so. If you haven't noticed, the whole biotech sector is down since the end of ASCO. If only LGND was down based on some individual, fundamental weakness, then I would have to give you some credit. Being long any stock is difficult business, especially with all the negativity that is out in the world at the present time. Instead of busting the chops of the LGND longs on this board, you might want to focus your attention on your apparently large investment in STXN. The chart sure looks ugly, and it appears profits are far off in the future, if ever. LGND should be profitable by year's end, and not many biotechs can say that.

    • (Is that clear enough for you?)

What is clear to me is your little group has harrassed me. Told me I am wrong within any evidence. Called me a liar, a dumbass, a fool etc etc etc.

I sometimes wonder why I hang out in this cesspool.

You all deserve to lose your money. You have limited intellectual capacity and no desire to do anything else but pull your betters down into the muck with you.

Pesse (Too bad flat busted broke people can still procreate) Mist

    • It isn't about the profitability of your alleged trades. It's about how you behave like a complete and total asshole.

Is that clear enough for you?

      Sail

    • (Another fine example of "I've repeated it so many times it's now the undeniable truth.")

The question was to you boneheads spouting off about the endless trades I lied about, not the losing single trade.

Go back and find one and stop trying to shift the focus of the challenge.

and sail....cold fusion worked exactly once. Its the repetitive nature of something that makes it awe inspiring.

Pesse (At the rate I pull money from Ligand longs, Harvey and I are going to have matching yachts soon, right Rob?) Mist

    • <<(Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you posted that cover @$7 real-time.)

You don't really expect me to go back and spend my valuable time paging through endless message posts just to validate a losing trade I've repeatedly referenced?
