Right now the market maker is holding the bid up so that the SP does not drop out of control. That is their job. He is letting it go down slowly. When you see thousands of shares on the highest bid that is the MM. He won't completely back off. If he did the SP would be closer to 1.25. That is to big of a drop all at once without a catalyst. The earnings report may overwhelm the MM and cause him to accept the sell orders if they do not break even. In that event the SP could easily drop to 1,25 and then decline below a dollar within a couple of weeks.
