    Man Of The Year

If you haven't seen the new movie with Robin Williams you need to.

It is a very good comedy but it also points out that both the Republican party and the Democrat party are full of assholes who think they know more about what is good for us than we do.

    • A few comments.

First, 'Stole the election'??? Please, get over it. Gore is the one who tried to steal it and cried like a baby.

Second, when you say 'both the Republican party and the Democrat party are full of assholes who think they know more about what is good for us than we do', what you really mean to say is that THE WORLD IS FULL OF ASSHOLES.....

As long as we pick our politicians from the world population we will always pick some variety of asshole. And, whether you admit it or not, EVERYONE thinks they know more about what's good for everyone else...and your post is a perfect example of that.

The fact is someone has to 'run' the government and mobs cannot.

    • I agree. Very good movie. Not sure what it has to do with AA.

    • "Man of the Year" teaches us to Do the Right Thing, no matter what the consequences. Robin Williams benefits in the long run by meeting and marrying Laura Linney, who also did the Right Thing even though it meant abandoning her career in a major corporation.

Yes the other candidates are assholes as portrayed in "Man of the Year" but how can you miss the close analogy with Bush II who stole the 2000 election by having the Supremes stop the vote count in Florida before completion? Doing the Right Thing is a totally foreign concept to the Bush gang.

    • Yes and they all act like they are above the law and check into REHAB centers whenever they get close to getting in trouble. AK Pat Kennedy and MR Foley???
