China killed solar, China will kill ALUM

China will kill cars manufacturers, China will kill rare earths, China will kill everything.

We are now paying the price for all that technology we shipped over. Profits can not grow in this climate with a competitor like China.

I warn you longs again, get out of this stock while the gigantic funds try to prop it up. This is not a buy at any price. This is another Solyndra, First Solar, GM waiting to happen. You will be WIPED out.

    • You have no sense in terms of cost of Chinese aluminum manufacturing. AA manufacturing cost is lower than many Chinese aluminum companies. That's the reason many Chinese aluminum companies don't do the full production because their price is not as competitive as the international price. The main reason is the energy cost of running aluminum production. Energy in China is not cheaper, some case it's more expensive than US because many other manufacturers would pay higher price to get comitment from the energy companies, such as Foxcon. That's the reason the AA has bigger revenue growth than ACH.

      • We'll see how long that lasts.

China's cost has been coming down in all areas.

And no, electricity is not more expensive in China, its much much cheaper, the problem is availability. And labor costs are virtually free in China.

In 10 years, when Alcoa is gone, the U.S car makers are gone, Boeing is in serious decline, and the only U.S companies making money are Goldman Sachs and the Oil majors, you will wish you sold this crap stock.

China is going to eat our lunch. Little debt, Cheap labor, no unions, protectionist government, there is no way the U.S can compete with that forever. We will lose.
