Norway Minister of Petroleum and Energy Ola Borten Moe was scheduled to speak at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks on Monday, then travel to Bismarck on Tuesday for events and to Williston on Wednesday.
North Dakota and Norway both have booming oil industries. The Norwegian government also has majority control of Statoil, which last year agreed to pay $4.4 billion for Texas-based Brigham Exploration and its operations in the western North Dakota oil patch.
