    SORL being taken private at $8.50/Shr

    • It is highly unlikely that SORL will go private. The CEO owns 60% of the company - for all practical purposes, it is already private. If they had to go private, they would have done so 2 years ago when their stock fell to $2 area, thanks to China fraud fears. Like their other auto part counterparts (CAAS, CXDC), I think SORL sees the long-term prestige that comes from an NYSE/Nasdaq listing. Of course I may be wrong, but I think SORL, CAAS and CXDC will eventually prove to be classic Buffet-style "forever stocks" - one is trading close to book, the other two at significant discount to book - and that for market leaders in the world's largest and fastest growing auto market. Am prepared to wait as long as it takes for the value in these companies to get unlocked. $8.50 per share would be a travesty, not a reward - the book value alone is over $9 per share. All the best.
