Opened 610 contracts EWJ Apr 2011 10 call

This better go up or I'll lose everything. Im positive that by weekend, they will be able to bury the reactor. I started trading options 6 weeks ago with $2k as seed money. After 5 weeks, the $2k grew to $60k. But it went down to $30k when I had a big loss at amazon. Hopefully, this EWJ will bring it back to respectable level. My account grew to almost 3000% in matter of month trading oil options.

    • I am somewhat a "gut" player..... and shall consider an exit upon watching the futures on Sunday night... one thing about it..... a couple points here ... would be this Lybia stuff going on as I type....
and all this time.. I have noticed a movement in GMR.... which feels better than .. did they just say on Bloom... "high levels of radiation... phew sounds like either a lot of misinformation ....or disinformation.
      LEAVES MUCH to consider....

    • hmmmm ONE SMART "CHIC"... much luck and success to you...

    • I purchased 100 May 10 puts. If you look at the chart, the Friday's closing price is close to the same price on November 30th. So even if they do get the reactors under control. Which I don't think they will. You have to deal with the massive affects of the quake and tsunami, plus, and here is the big plus...massive food shortages, massive power outages and the view of consumers worldwide that their products are going to be laced with radiation. Radiation is already showing up in milk in Tokyo.

Would you buy a car made in Japan if there were even small traces of radioactivity? The half life of uranium 4.2 billion years...why do you think they bury spent fuel rods in massively expensive underground bunkers.

I think you are nuts to go long with everything you own, the bounce we had is based on novice investors like yourself worldwide who believe that just because something has drastically sold off it must bounce back. When in reality, institutional investors use the bounce to continue to sell their shares to retail investors.

In closing, we haven't even hit the pre QE2 lows of September 2010. I am a buyer of Japan when we have a 40% sell off from here, that would represent true value...

Until then I will keep buying puts as I did on Friday...the idea is to sell the bounce versus buying the dips.

    • Cheal,

That some "talent" you happen to have.:)... Many many congrats...

      Dave the Novice...
were you procuring Calls?? oh NO.... opppppps,,

    • There's still room for this to get back to 10.8 or 10.9 then I'll close. The drop to 10 is too drastic.

    • yes you arwe right they will fix the problem over the weekend and everybody knows that already...the problem is that the country has FALLEN APART DUDE

    • please do not get investor confidence mixed up with short covering and BOJ buying etf's. Once the short covering is finished and BOJ stops buying, back to $9.00 we go, or worst. good luck, I have no position at this time but will start shorting when the volume of the rise slows down, that will be the que to go short, judge it by the 60 minute chart.

    • Better be careful trading options dear. Especially with the amounts you are bragging about. It's like gambling at a casino. The house loves it when you win. Everybody hits a homerun now and then...but over the long run most people give all of it back...and then some.

    • They can't seal in cement until it's cooled down. May take weeks.

      • As long as there are incremental progress, EWJ should rise as well. The japanese govt are doing everything in their hands to handle this situation. They are honorable people. They stand to their words. Very resilient and way way better than americans or other nationalities. We dropped 2 atom bombs in World War II, but they came back roaring and became the 3rd largest economy in the world. For only a span of 30 years, they modernize their country. They dont have natural resources but they have indomitable spirits and they made the best electronic gadgets available to man. Did you know that Japanese are the most courteous tourist in the whole world. They are not arrogant and they listen and obey the rules of law. They dont sue like we Americans do. We americans are too girlie and impatient, we sue others just by breaking our nails or slipping on the floor.
