Have been in Columbia all day so missed out on the activity but see on the daily chart the stock hit even hit $70.00 at 10:00 a.m. this morning just couldn't hold there for today.

According to the press release on the web page,
the dividedn is now 0.87 (per pre-split share)
(a rise of ~11%)

the article in the post was about nations bank taking over boatmans bank. cbsh was mentioned in regards to new business from boatmans customers. down at the bottom of page listed cbsh home page and i clicked on. i know nothing about change in 78 cent dividen change. plese let me know what is happening. thanks fladee

Got there through profile...should have known that. Also saw in print where two of my old fellow officers were receiving big promotions, knew about one and assumed about the second.

Guess you heard the announcement today that CBSH will split 3 for 2 as of ownership 3/9/98.

Rumor in this area is CBSH won't be acquired since Kemper's own such a large portion.
