why wouldn't WDC be a sell

if computers are going to use flash memory instead of WDC's hard drives?

why hold on after the HP news?

is it going to keep going?

did already take a big hit

if I short, I will try to wait for a little move up

    but will it move up

doesn't exactly seem like a screaming buy

why wouldn't it fall in half, for example

seems like the downgrades could have been buy

but in all honesty, maybe there is something I'm overlooking; I'm really not up on the hard drive world; just seems like an obvious sell or short; maybe the action will be slow from here forward though; maybe not

let me know why it could be a buy or even a hold, why it isn't a short, considering that hard drives seem to be going away for computer PC's, that would really hurt their profits; what else to they sell them for?

jmho and not really up on all this

    • Harddrives aren't going away for computers, not even close.

A 32 GB flash drive for a laptop is $350 or more. An 80 GB western digital harddrive for a laptop is $70, or a 120 GB western digital harddrive for a desktop is $60.

Just how much market share do you think flash will steal with that kind of price and storage capacity difference?

Feel free to short a stock with a 9 PE, 9 forward PE, no debt and lots of cash if you wish. It should be interesting...
