    2Q07 earnings

    are going to be critical for CFR stock performance over the next year or so. CFR has now had several quarters in a row of lack luster growth...and that characterization is being nice. If 2Q07 earnings is more of the same, that will be a huge negative that will take a long while to recover from. Personnally I think the story will be more of the same, but I hope I am wrong.

      boy I hope not. Maybe cfr not as shareholder friendly as I perceived. They have lots of cash (which hurts some financial ratios) to do something with. But that cash also makes for a juicy takeover bait.
      Nonetheless beginning to suspect cfr mgmnt content to thump their chests and claim to be the biggest publicly owned Texas based bank. BFD.
