With the attractive stock price of XRX, HP might
buy this company and spinoff their entire Printer
division with XRX. With the synergies in operation,
technica1 & maintenance staffing this will make them one of
the most efficient printer / Copier manufacturer in
the world.
If the share price remains at these
levels definitely this will be a reality.
With 15
Bln in market cap $11-12 Bln in annual sales & a PE
of less than 10 this is a great company.
why couple up with a loser!! XRX should seek alliance with Oracle, Siemens or even sap
ursula needs to go along with her mates..(subs)

I really like the idea of e-paper, if it can do
what it looks like it can do.
I want a table
thst Ican use as a display, and mark up by hand, And I
think I can do it with e=paper. Any thoughts?
These types of things are normally insured for
large amounts of money. There should be little impact
on earnings.
I'm long 1000 shrs and writing
calls to take in extra cash while this excellent
company goes through a tough time. On paper,
restructuring plans often look simple, but in the real world, a
billion dollar r/s plan filled with layoffs, could take
years to be fully implemented. I got in a little early
(30) but am confident in the long term. Fundamentally
a great stock - perhaps one of the best values on
the street. I see a bottom of $20, but when they beat
estimates in 2Q '00, look out.
XRX is caught in a price war. The only monoply
they have is on their top line Color printer for Print
shops. Unfortunately those dont sell every
day.
The Company is revamping its strategy. It could be
taken over by 3M who also needs to grow. In the near
future Electronic paper will be the best selling High
Tech medium for every day users. Computer screens with
their Voltage and power requirements are going to be
obsolete. XRX and 3M will be ready when that revolution
strikes.
Short term more pain for future gain.
What does all this mean?
What happens after all the longs take their losses and get stopped out?
comments?
Who the hell prints anymore?
that is the conclusion that I came to ...plus the esop program at xerox would be very difficult to work around...I was beginning to doubt whether I was correct in thinking along those lines...thanks
It feels like being in SAKS 5th Ave with K-mart
prices. Look at the P/E; On that alone, it's worth
buying. Accumulate, be patient and don't panic. Give it a
year to 18 months and you won't be sorry. This is a
know brainer!! Don't miss the boat or you'll be
kicking yourself later.
maybe the new year will be a prosperous one for
us and xerox....but you seem like an intelligent man
explain to why if am I wrong for not seeing any way that
hp or almost any other company being able to swallow
xerox?
wish these weren't true....
I'll take your point well and being the gentlemen I am...I'll take your advise and "can" the scoops....
Take care and Happy Holidays.....
