    That Barrons article

    ...is unfortunate.
That publication is respected by many.
Oh well. Everybody is entitled to their opinion, even if they are wrong.

    • Keep in mind Barron's penned the article but the story was on the short seller and his shorts. He also didn't like another my longs CMP. I figured how the guy could come up with a forward P/E of 43 though my calculations suggest a forward P/E of 23. As for insider selling, well it's hard to tell. Automatic sales of deep in the money options may be nothing more than portfolio balancing. I'm scared but sitting tight.

K12 Inc. (LRN, $20.28, -$0.79, -3.75%) shares slipped on heavy volume a week ahead of its fiscal fourth-quarter report. Wedbush Morgan Securities said the declines aren't "an issue of earnings, but it's relative to the potential guidance the company could provide for the fiscal year." It added there could also be profit taking.

    • If it pops you have a year to get back to 28,
that you posted about here and said that was a strong base.

Oh you said 24 was aftyer 28 failed, so you
have had no trade, made zero for a year.

YAWN, Hows the pink sheet stocks doing, LMAO.

    • I'm in agreement with you on all your points, slider.
(And a Short Squeeze would be a glorious think to behold! Haha!)

    • "With tight school budgets, shortsellers identified LRN as a candidate for decreased funding and resultant revenues. That hasn't happened, but the short interest is still present. And what a presence-it's huge! At mid month, there were over 7.5M shares borrowed and sold short. That is 39% of the float. At present volume levels it would take 63 days to cover those shorts.

LRN's price has been creeping up which will cause one of two possibilities to happen. Either sellers will renew their attack on the company and be willing to borrow even a greater percentage of the float or decide that revenue isn't crashing and make a move for the exit. If the latter happens, with 63 days to cover, a significant squeeze could occur and the share price could move nicely higher. Would it stay high? It could as a squeeze would attrack notoriety and momentum investors, plus K12 is still growing, a rarity today, and in an insulated space."

    • OOOOOKKKK, so that Barron's article wasn't soooo bad I guess. I assume enough folks looked into the revenue stream and cyclical nature of it. Combined with LRN' fundamentals and potential for future growth sky's the limit....I hope a portion of the 12bil CC stimulus package will stream to LRN....doubt it but hey, here's to hope....oh no, don't squeeze the charmin....ouch

    • LOL!!
