    Liberty Global buys Telenet

IMHO an excellent acquisition. One of their best. These kinds of deals make the case for owning this stock. Even though I am no longer a shareholder I still follow things and am awaiting the details of this deal.

Synergistic savings plus tremendous cross marketing and branded product grow opportunities. Wouldn't be surprised by a follow-up content deal.

Timing couldn't be better. Kudos to Fries and company. This one was a long time coming but, nevertheless, a very significant milestone to increase LGI's footprint. Should also open up more Central European deals.

    • I thought I saw that on Friday, but was surprised not to see an LGI PR. Interesting. They are already out front in digital

      • Well..........if you haven't followed this company for yrs (decades) you might find that their PR (or lack thererof) is not confusing/surprising.

Yes, the Telentet deal is quite a deal but don't expect to learn about this deal from LGI's PR dept because, by definition, per DR MALONE, it doesnt' exist, which is one of MANY reasons why I don't own this stock

No doubt, LGI is a GREAT company wtih a TREMENDOUS future.

BTW, it goes w/out saying ....... with Bob Malone and his MATERIALISITIC minions at the helm, have no doubt that the plan is to F$CK minority shareholders while enriching themselves

MF, I am VERY disappointed in you. I always knew that Freddy and Charlie sold their souls a long time ago but I always held out my hopes for you.

You guys are financially brilliant but your treatement of minority shareholders is well ........... to put it mildly....................despicable.............!!!!

I bought (and held) back in the early 90's and watched Bob Malone apply his financial magic to LGI but, Mike, I would not like to be in your shoes right now knowing that I have entered into a Mephistopholian pact with Bob Malone. Maybe it works if your are thinking about the legacy that you are leaving you great grandchildren (even though they don't exist) but any MATEREAL pacts that involves a devil likc Bob Malone is bound to have its price.
