    $150+ with Earnings on Wed

But Intel doesn't market addictive products that cause cancer; does not have to confront increased consumer advertising that shows in grisly detail the physical effects of tobacco; and does not have to face the specter of lower demand affecting state tobacco settlement bonds.
Don't you think that the states and/or the investors will try to reopen those agreements when they realize that the payments from LO and other tobacco firms will be below the original now too optimistic assumptions?

    • I want you to try banning alcohol, pornagraphy, prostitutes, medicinal weed, football and hockey. All very dangers substance and physical activities that can either ruined a family's life, cause people to not function on a daily basis properly, or get you paralyzed by playing the sport.

Whatever you make of it, people will still smoke, if you ban smoking, the populous of a country will still find ways to sell cigarettes underground or grow it in their house, foreign country etc.

Baning cigarettes, is like giving the mafia an opportunity to profit from this.

If governments keep taxing cigs, companies will just raise the price and people will still continue to buy cigs at a higher price.

My banking manager smokes almost two packs a day, holds a masters degree in physics, MBA and currently doing his CFA....He's so educated, yet he still smokes up like a chimney.
