Got this reply from them:"The ex-dividend date was 12/28 and the dividend for 2011 will be finally approved from the AGM which is scheduled on March. The date of dividend payment has not been set, but it would be during April."
That makes no sense. You can't have an ex-dividend date, without a known dividend amount. The exhcanges lower the price of the stock by the dividend amount, on the ex-dividend date.
Yes you can go ex-div without an amount. And, the exchange does not lower the stock price after an ex-div date. That is a function of the market.
I don't get it. I suspect there could be a language barrier with the person that responded to me. I am tempted to ask my broker what the deal is.
