I'm Buying More In The $12 range

i own shares at avg cost of $25. last purchase i made was at $18 to avg down. i was thinking of buying some more but i thought klopp's purchase was more negative than positive. a $150,000 buy seemed like "window dressing" or maybe "politically motivated" type buying. 10,000 shares on holdings of 400,000 just didn't get me excited.

another thing that bothers me a little is lack of buys at this level from steve plavin (he did buy shares via options at $15 in dec 07 when stock was much, much higher). i'm pretty sure he is a key guy in the organization. maybe his net worth is too heavy in CT. i'm sure he has options on the stock but probably not many in the money at this point. if i put myself in his shoes right now, i think i'd be buying the stock if i was confident in the company's near term future (say one year).

i worked for a company that gave me stock options and i still bought the stock when it was down. knowing that it was beaten down for little reason. maybe i'm off base, i'd be interested to hear from others on the plavin topic.

i'm holding until i see meaningful purchases from one or more of the following:

    wr berkley
    weiss
    zell
    plavin
