    Malice is Malice

But there were two pieces of very GOOD news today that - if the MMs were not playing for those with Deep Pockets against Those Who Don't Have Them - should have supported the stock against the libels of Blue Balls and Fiends, not the opposite.

First, Glenhill Advisors more than tripled its Long position over the past couple of weeks, announced in a filing Sunday.

Glenhill and its activist CEO Glenn Krevlin, have an excellent record of buying in big at the exact bottom and getting buddy funds to join them, while pressuring the company involved to do what they wish - in this case, almost certainly to sell the entire shebang and realize shareholder value.

You do not have to take my word for this. Do your own DD, and you'll see what I said is very accurate.

Second, Schlumberger came out with a statement within the past hour! that PDVSA is going to be paying its serivice providers what it owes them much faster starting NOW.

This is very big news which directly affects HNR. If HNR finally gets in what it is owed by PDVSA, it won't have any debtholder problems in the immediate future.

Of course, what is mere Reality against Worst Case Scenarios ranted and raved about constantly on Yahoo boards?

But everyone involved in benefiting the Deepest Pockets against Everyone Else - we Mere Mortals, cockroaches to the Anointed Ones - should be deeply, deeply ashamed of their behavior.

    • From my take The released article I read specifically mentioned SLB, not all service providers.

      • Steve,

As always when it comes to this individual you have to read yourself what has been said and realize that either he cannot read properly English or just try to misled or even both.
SLB is a service provider and PDVSA is trying to pay what he owes which is a small fortune around 16 billions...
The only problem and it is huge is that HNR is NOT A SERVICE PROVIDER but "part" of PDVSA and will receive dividend in theory related to its 32% stake. PDVSA is in big trouble to pay SCB and that shows that HNR will not get any dividend anytime soon or EVER?
HNR is in a situation of a DE FACTO nationalization of its assets since 2009 and cannot even exit with comp.
HNR has no other possible revenue beside what they could have gotten from Vz and with this huge problem related to irregularities with face almost certainly Bankruptcy because the note holders, like I said, will ask for immediate payment of the 79.8M note due Oct 11,2014 at 11%. Simple as that, HNR is at the end of the road...too late to do anything.
I do not think HNR will release the 10K and the 10k/A related to 2012 2011 2010....I do not see any accountant willing to put its responsibility in this financial fiasco. Many Institutions are furious for the loss and no potential to change the situation. What I think is that HNR will go directly to BK and voluntarily exit the NYSE to trade in OTCBB under HNRQ.
Harsh perhaps but be VERY careful here...

    • Yes oilruler in my opinion you and jwu should buy another 20,000 shares at 3.30 right now. It is well worth it and I will be delighted to see that people like you are making a ton of money just because they are smarter than the commons.
Just keep us in the loop and tell us how much and at what price you are buying?

We will have something to laugh about you and me, later on.

I really admire the quality of your DD and the willingness to really grace us with your multifaceted knowledge about HNR. I think your sharing experience has to be commanded. Thank you again....
