Anthony Scarmucci on CNBC at lunch today was extrapolating the weak outlook in ORCL to the entire cloud space saying 2012 is going to be a mess for cloud stocks as companies slow down on spending….sounds like you disagree with this statement and instead think Cloud names are winning where ORCL is losing…..fair to say?
Well that is what many folks are saying in the tech world. The cloud offerings are getting cheaper because of competition but companies need to move their data to new environments and don't want to pay the absurd costs Oracle levies. The benefit of using the cloud is companies don't need to own all the equipment and don't need to train employees to manage it. Oracle customers are finally getting smart.
