What is the value and significance of of today's TEM OEM Order?
Who are Top 10-15 TEM (Telecom Equipment Manufacturers) Vendors?
- Alcatel Lucent, Cisco, Ericsson, Huawei, Juniper
- Alvarion, ECI Telecom, Fujitsu, Marconi, Nokia, Nortel, Qualcom, Tellabs, ZTE...
- And yes Genband was expected to be this TEM OEM
Vineyards earlier key OEM Customers were:
WAN Optimization/NW Monitoring & management through Riverbed's flagship product Steelhead Appliance, a networking appliance that combines several techniques to optimize data traffic and bandwidth utilization across WAN. (Enterprise end Customers throught this OEM Partnership) - $500 Million revenue company.
Xirrus - Leading provider of high-performance wireless networks. (wireless networking equipment based on the IEEE standards 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g and 802.11n. manufactures multiple radio Wi-Fi Arrays that combine a WLAN switch and APs into a single device.) But still private Company. Again an enterprise OEM customer. End customers - Enterprise, Education, Healthcare, Hospitality, Government, Emergency Response, Conferences, Carrier WiFi etc.
So this Large TEM DPI win seems to me a good OEM win for Vineyard's original technology. This must be obviously in the making prior to acuisition.
Is this what Genband was expected to do? Does this technology help Genband to better for Procera?
So bottom line is OEM wins in WAN, Wifi and now TEM. When will the entry into Enterprise world for Procera happen? That is yet another key to differentiating from SVC and ALLT. F5 relationship was expected to make this happen? Certainly JB and the folks from Sweden are planning and firing on all cylinders. Market - Wake up to the fact.
