Can someone explain why this never has high volume?

I'm a novice here and hold 12000 shares @ .585. I just wonder why the stock never has a million in
volume? Am I missing something? My friend who is a big traders says that when a stock moves up
on low volume at a slow rate he doesn't take it that serious? Any input??

    Sentiment: Hold

    • Pull up the historical prices page - it trades a million shares periodically.

    • the nutjob paints a horrible picture. he really has no clue. there are several investors here whom understand the fundamentals of a small cap company like jones. I have held shares for a long term period. Am I upside down? The answer is no. I've seen ceo's come and go. The current ceo is righting the ship in less than a year. I encourage you to go back and listen to previous quarterly calls and listen to the last four real close. I have a lot of shares. I purchased a lot of shares, (+100,000) at the first of the year. The reason for low volume is simple. It has a relatively low float. Most of the shares are locked away and will never be traded. If and when you see more than a million shares traded, it's usually the same 200,000 shares being bought and sold the same day, multiple times. I believe in this company and have no problem putting my money where my mouth is, and I'm doing pretty well right now. Most would feel more comfortable waiting until after the Q-2 report. My problem with that is multi fold. Anytime you have a stock that falls from 32.00 to .32 cents, you figure it will soon be out of business. Well, it's not, nor is it going out of business. Many here are watching this and nibbling away. If you look at todays action for instance, one buy went through early, roughly 90,000 shares were purchased by the same buyer, not a lot, but it was a big part of the days volume, in one quick buy. When more get wind of this, the pace will pick up. By standing on the platform as the train is leaving the station, ask yourself? DO you want to ride or watch it leave the station without you. Life is a gamble, but I think Jennifer Cue and her sidekick are doing a terrific job, and I think some here will be surprised how well it's going. It's been hot and soda is selling.....
Now let nutjob spew his numbers by looking out the rear view mirror......I prefer to look out the front windshield and see blue skies and open highway, the road to profitability......

no volume = no buying interest ....no buying interest because theres no growth or profits ...sales continue to decline and jones needs to raise capital to survive... low volume walk up by MM .78 is the ceiling before the next loss is reported and the plug is pulled....
