i regard the article to be a confirmation of exactly what i was critical about. in some respects it is a profound PR mess. Cue compares the company to Detroit. oh good. edgy. she brags on using real sugar while agreeing you should not drink the product everyday. also the article confirms multiple times, that jones is a nostalgia brand. no mention of naturals?? how on trend. zilch? really a diet soda? they have zero calorie sodas now?????? wow. wait til people of that!
i am not even caring about the inane number of jobs created for the soda production. i would suspect the actual local economic impact is in the tens of thousands dollars over the course of a year for the made in michigan effort. Cue created a job, maybe two.
completely absent from the interview/fluff piece = we are excited about our blank which is gaining sales and you must try it. instead it was remember when you were a kid and had soda and it was ok? dont forget to drink a jones to bring back the memories. nothing has changed at old jones.
