    I think J.Soda's turnaround....

I think J.Soda's turnaround will be still years away, but Russell Breweries [RB] looks promising.

    • Russell will release their earnings in a week or so. I expected them to be solid. It's still good time to get in.

    • We are a small group here of positive thinkers...wanting the best for us and the new buyers....to Hades with the rabbit herders.

    • interesting observation and suggestion. russell looks ok. based on current operations the company is very highly valued it would appear. nice gross sales, but no profit and slow growth. they are a me too brewery now it seems although i have not had their beer. that said, it is a much better business than jones and obviously passionate management. jones lacks that of course. when you compare valuations it shows you how inflated jones cap is relative to russell. its not PEIX, but thanks for the nod to RB.v

      • netprop, just give you update:

Russell Breweries earnings came out yesterday, solid report. Indeed!

        Three Months Ended December 31, 2013 (“Q2 2014F”)
The Company had a net income of $91,883 for Q2 2014F compared to the net loss of $87,693 for the
period ended December 31, 2012 (“Q2 2013F”). The increase in net income is primarily due to an
increase in gross margin of $170,364, which is offset by an increase in selling, general and administrative
expenses of $50,164 and decrease in other expenses of $42,419.

        Gross revenue for Q2 2014F were $2,537,387 up $552,841 or 28% compared to $1,984,546 for Q2
        2013F. Net sales for Q2 2014F were $1,971,590 up $461,060 or 31% compared to $1,510,530 for Q2
2013F. The increase is mainly due to increased pricing and volumes from additional sales personnel
hired to service wider geographical area

        Sentiment: Strong Buy

      • You're welcome!
