they're at it again -- excercising options at 19.50 and selling the next day. Interestingly enough, these options are good for another 5 to 10 years. Why sell now in their 401K? They pay no taxes on the gains. So why not wait till it goes higher? Perhaps they believe this is a goood price mmmmmmmm.
No need to apologize -- I did over re-act. I imagine that for many of the non-sensical posters on this board that Michael Moore is their hero. I just returned form a funeral, where the man was a veteran. I imagine that Moore and some of the posters on this board would have spit on his grave. God Bless the men and women who protect us -- fireman, policemna, soldiers etc.
Stokk, I just like to complain about Terry LOL
How 'bout a truce, Kent. I'm sure I got a little over-bitchy, too. My apologies. I know you are a good man and a long-time MTW guy (and I'm sure you share my disdain for Michael Moore). Anyway, feel free to bad-mouth Terry Growc*ck and his boys. I'll keep it clean if I disagree.
By the way, lustynotbusty is my name for posting on the Yahoo news message boards. I find it's a welcome distraction to those who take people too seriously on there. Should've kept it off this board. Oh well, like I said, no one's perfect!
Come on now, leave Burger out of this. Besides, how do you know Burgers' relationship with the boat industry unless you are a regular reader of this board? MMM. Anyway, I probably over-reacted to stokks/lusty not busty, whatever his/her name is comments. Then again, which poster are you? Why not just post under one name? Just because you're paranoid does not mean they are not out to get you.LOL
All, please take note that you should NOT reply to this post unless you are burgermeister the sailor man. KentState70 hasn't figured out the email concept yet, so this is his private forum for communicating only with the Bacon-double-cheese-floater. Stokkpikk, this means you!!!!
Of course it's a good price.
Kent, you're like the Michael Moore of MTW-bashers! It's getting tiresome.
Exercising options is a form of compensation. Management is ALLOWED to think the stock price is good. I bet they'd tell you that if you asked them.
I've exercised similar options myself. It is a standard means of operating. If everyone had your mindset that exercising options or even just selling shares by an officer is grounds for dismissal, this key tool to arrange for executive compensation would vanish.
IMHO, things are looking pretty good these days.
Look stokk or whoever you are, since apparently you have multiple personalities. I was addressing my post to Berger -- not you! Just put me on ignore, I am tired of you constantly calling me names and your personal attacks -- like I said put me on ignore. Your ignorance re: options and derivatives is amazing!
