Teachers don't work any harder than anybody else and they are paid plenty. It's a job. I thought they got into teaching "for the kids"? Obviously, it's about money, Summers off, extended holidays, early retirement, cadillac health insurance and fat pensions at the taxpayers' expense. They should be compensated based on performance, like the rest of us. Good ones should make more, bad ones should be fired and mediocre ones should make less. How can anyone argue against that? Why do they need to be protected by corrupt, liberal unions at our expense?
