    Not happy with the cloud

There are a lot of non-professional photographers, like myself, who use Lightroom and Photoshop and upgrade religiously to get new versions. That model worked well. I don't know anyone who pirates any software, and who needs to at an upgrade price of $99 and $199. The cloud, on the other hand, is making my decision to not "upgrade" Photoshop an easy one. I'll just keep CS6. It's also opening the market for new developers who will have a fairly consistent stream of Adobe-unhappy customers to market to. Adobe's cloud will help folks like OnOne Software fund their efforts to add content-aware features to Perfect Suite's Layers app.

    • I will never buy another product from Adobe ever again as long as I live.

Adobe's "subscription" is a scam. I makes you pay Adobe for their software... every month... for the rest of your life. I refuse this shakedown... I refuse to be taken hostage... I refuse to deal with hostage takers.

There is other software I can use... and I will be using it.

      Never again... adobe.

      • Not only is their subscription a sham so is their policy of not allowing you to deactivate remotely. If your computer crashes and you have to reinstall, you have to call Adobe and they sit there and lecture you about deactivating before installing on another computer... you know, the one that CRASHED! Explaining this to them is like talking to a chimpanzee... Actually the chimp would probably understand that better than Adobe tech support. I'm done with Adobe. There are a ton of "good enough" image editors that I can use to get the job done and I use Sony for most of my audio/video...

        Sentiment: Strong Sell
