Chegg, Inc. Message Board

I talked to my son who's a Computer science student at Oregon State and he's used this company and looked at their businesses. While numbers can and will change, he likes what he saw and sees huge potential in this market.

    Sentiment: Buy

    • If my college aged son or daughter was keen on this company at this price I would be asking the university for tuition money back for failing to provide proper instruction. Outside of an unknown out of the blue catalyst, this has much further to fall. IMHO.

      • I guess it all depends on how you look at it - if you believe that Chegg's is nothing but textbook seller/renter, with some meaningless ancillary digital businesses, then I would agree that it has a lot farther to fall. There seems enough revenue growth momentum in their digital services business to potentially generate a different story - i.e. an on-line educational services provider for college students that allows them to capture the textbook side of the business at possibly higher margins (as a one-stop shop). Time will tell which story plays out, but there is enough early evidence to warrant a token investment at these levels.

      • Thanks, I don't usually answer advice from someone with bowel issues , lol. I bought near the bottom (you'll like that) and hold my investments usually for long term. But at least at you qualified it with IMHO, most on the board act like next coming of Warren Buffett.
