It must surely be George W. Bush's fault

I do remember back when Mr William Jefferson Clinton decided it was a good idea to reduce the SEC/oversight by about 1/3 to save money..Anyone else remember?

    • That may well be correct as well. Dems have share of the blame too, so I am not putting this solely on the Republicans. They just generally lead the parade....

We have the same problem in many places, like evidently offshore drilling. Drill, baby, well, spill baby spill, unfortunately....Moneyed interests, the regulated buying influence, negating oversight. One would like to have hoped this could not get any worse, until you consider the recent Supreme Court decision to remove corporate barriers in election spending...We are going the wrong way.........

Yes. How dare the Supreme Court rule that corporations can run opinion ads in newspapers.

And it's time we take punitive actions against huge corporations like the New York Times and the Washington Post for trying to influence the public with their opinions which run every day.

      • That is a typical liberal response. " Yeah, the dems did something wrong ..... BUT ..... "

And then follow by pointing out how someone else ( generally Republicans or another enemy of theirs they would ove to bring down since they lack the pure talent and intelligence to compete with them ) is worse, or at least they are worse in their perception which is always skewed and biased.

        Way to to GARE, lol

        Typical !!!!!
