Yes very interesting news. I have been wondering why IBM or NUAN doesn't use the Watson system to power a Siri type of APP. I guess they want the tech right on the phone because of processing power. NINA seems to be a step up from Siri for business and several steps behind Watson potential. I agree IBM and Nuance work very closely together in CLU, VR, NLU, etc. Lets hope Ricci works out good licensing arrangement. This is why I still think IBM is the best fit to purchase. The overlap and mutual advantage is huge for both companies. IBM could still license NUAN tech to other companies but tie up the patents, tech, and talent for the creation of their own products. What happens to IBM if Apple, MSFT, GOOG, or GE purchase Nuance? Either way, the picture for NUAN will look very different in a few years. VR is on the cusp of going mainstream and NUAN is the market leader, hands down.
