Could be people are buying before the weekend in case any news breaks on Monday. With Icahn sniffing around and holding a large position, I believe something will happen by the next earnings announcement. It is just a matter of time. When Icahn stops the musical chairs, I wouldn't want to be caught short without a seat. IMHO.
I'm wondering if there will be a "pre-Dell" run-up. I think the Dell vote is on Monday, the 15th, so we've got about 6 trading days till then. And afterwards, how quickly would CI pivot toward his next prey? And given the size of his NUAN position, would it be logical to speculate that the target is NUAN? Would any traders be second-guessing that possibility?
Looks like Nuan has gained some traction. Earnings should be interesting. Ricci must be feeling the heat. If Nuan has a another weak quarter, I expect Icahn will react accordingly. Icahn has not taken such a large position in Nuan just to sit back and lose money. Anyone who doesn't know that hasn't followed Icahn's investment strategies. He is a vulture who swoops in and takes advantage of everything he can. He has been circling Nuan, and we will soon get to witness the carnage. IMHO.
